Why Vala® exists
Too many extraordinary musicals never find their audience.
Not because they aren’t good.
Not because artists lack imagination.
But because the path from idea to audience has become too expensive, too slow, and too difficult.
VALA exists to change that.
By combining the imagination of artists with new production tools, we’re helping more creators tell more stories, reach more audiences, and share in the success of the work they create.

Public schools lose music and theater first when budgets tighten. So Vala Education built the coursework, with the Johnny Mercer Foundation, and gave it away permanently to students, teachers, and homeschool educators nationwide.
Programs meet Common Core and the National Core Arts Standards. Teachers can earn professional development hours for planning and delivering the units. Everything works in a classroom, in a homeschool, or on a student’s own screen.
